How to Use the Football Scoreboard
The Football Scoreboard is a free tool to follow matches in real time directly in the browser — no install, no account required. Works on phone, tablet and computer, with all data saved automatically on the device.
Setting Up the Match
In the Games tab, select the match from the season. The Call-ups tab lets you link the called squad to the scoreboard — players are loaded automatically with starter and bench positions. Use the Apply to Scoreboard button to load the teams.
Timer and Periods
The central timer supports 1st Half, 2nd Half, 1st and 2nd Extra Time and Penalties. Click the time display to edit it manually. Start, pause and reset buttons control the count.
Recording Goals and Cards
In the team cards, use the + and − buttons to update the score. The Yellow and Red card buttons open a modal to link the event to a player, number and time. Each action is recorded in the Match Timeline.
Substitutions
The Substitutions button opens the on-field and bench player view. Click a player to manage substitutions — the timeline is updated automatically with the time and players involved.
Statistics and PDF Report
The Statistics tab shows goals, assists and minutes played per player, with a game filter. The Export PDF button generates a full report with score by period, cards, timeline and substitution grid.
Sync Data Between Tools
Each tool stores its data on your device. If you created or changed data (players, opponents, competitions, games, call-ups and venues) in another SportsLabTools football tool, press Sync data, next to Export, to bring it in here — no need to export and import files. New items are added, changed items take the most recent version and items you deleted in another tool are removed. Data that belongs only to this tool is not affected.

Tips for Coaches
- Create the call-up before the match and use Apply to Scoreboard to load the squad in seconds.
- Click the timer to edit the time manually whenever needed (e.g. stoppage in play).
- Use the Statistics tab to identify top scorers and assisters across the season.
- Export the PDF report right after the match for archiving or sharing with the coaching staff.
